Hidden Gem – Bailieboro, Ontario

This week’s hidden gem was taken by Jordan S. in Bailieboro, Ontario as part of our 2010 Share Your Ontario photo contest. Here’s how she described her “My Ontario” moment:

We snapped this picture of a rock sculpture on the top of a hill, surrounded by fields and forest while the sun is setting.

Bailieboro, Ontario is located south of Peterborough and near Rice Lake. If you’re looking for a place to stay an easy distance from Rice Lake, Balieboro’s Wildwood Cottage Resort, Southview Cottages & RV Park, and Silver Leaf Cottages might be just what you are looking for for your next family getaway. How does one find this mini-Stonehenge? I know where Bailieboro is but is this sculpture easy to find or accessible to travellers?
