Where in Ontario do the waves get this big? The answer is this week’s hidden gem.
Karol S. took this stunning photo at Grand Bend as part of our 2010 Share Your Ontario photo contest. Here’s how she described her “My Ontario” moment:
Beautiful windswept sunset on the beach at Grand Bend!
Grand Bend, Ontario is located on what is known as Ontario’s West Coast, and has beautiful freshwater beaches, miles of sand and blue waters. Huron County’s sunsets have been rated some of the most spectacular in the world. Take a stroll along the shoreline, swim in the lake and have fun!
Want to mix in a little culture between beach adventures? Grand Bend’s Huron Country Playhouse near Grand Bend features Broadway performances though the summer and into the fall.
