This fall we will criss-cross Ontario with our featured fall drives. Check back each Friday as we take you on a virtual trip through some of the best regions in Ontario to check out the fall colours.
Route 1: The North Shore, 410km/255mi
Photo Op # 1 – Kakabeka Falls
Known as Niagara of the North, Kakabeka Falls plunges 40 metres over sheer cliffs and some of the oldest fossils in the world.
Photo Op # 2 – Sleeping Giant Provincial Park
This natural rock pennisula that forms Thunder Bay is named for its resemblance to a giant sleeping person. Home to numerous wildlife, a boreal forest and incredible views, this is a must-see location.
Photo Op # 3 – Ouimet Canyon
Sheer rock faces line this canyon and protect the northern shrubs that cover its rocky bottom. Follow the trails, stop at the observations decks and take in the breathtaking views.
For more info on the North Shore drive check it out here. And stay up-to-date on the colours across the province with our Fall Colour report.
