Hidden Gem – Westport, Ontario

This week’s picture perfect hidden gem was taken by Debra Lee W. from the top of Foley Mountain in Westport, Ontario.

Just a short drive north of Kingston, Ontario, a trip to Westport is the perfect way to check out the fall colours and beautiful vistas of the Rideau Valley.

To take a photo like Debra’s, head to the Foley Mountain Conservation Area, located atop a granite ridge overlooking the Upper Rideau Lake. From here you can get a bird’s eye view of the picturesque village of Westport. After you snap your perfect photo check out the rest of the conservation area, which consists of five hiking trails and picnic areas. To wrap up your day head down the village to enjoy the local shops and boutiques.
