Great Fall Drive – The Taste Trail

It is the third stop on our virtual fall drive across Ontario! Last week we ventured through the Agawa Canyon to check out some of the best photo ops in the region. This week we take a journey south through spectacular Prince Edward County to enjoy some mouthwatering tastes of the season.

Route 3: The Taste Trail, Prince Edward County, 100 km/62 mi
Must Try # 1 – Black River Cheese
Love when cheese curd is so fresh it squeaks? Make sure to stop at the Black River Cheese Company and try some of their award-winning cheeses. Black River Cheese was started in 1901 by local farmers and is still a small production facility today.
Must Try #2 – Regent’s Cafe
Have a sweet tooth? Regent’s Cafe on Picton’s Main Street has delicious sweet treats prepared for the Regent’s Cafe by award-winning local chefs. These classic cookies are a Regent’s Cafe favourite!

Must Try # 3 – Buddha Dog
With simple, delicious and local ingredients, Buddha Dogs is the perfect stop on a drive on the Taste Trail. Discover your love for Black River Cheese on your first stop on the tour? Buddha Dog’s “Dixie Dog” features delicious Black River Hot Mozzarella!
