For over 200 years the site of Springer Market Square in Kingston, Ontario has been at the heart of the city. Whether as the gathering point for Kingston residents to celebrate Confederation in 1867 or to gather throughout the year to enjoy live concerts and festivals, the market square is the place to be!
Market Square was laid out as part of the original town plan in 1784. It was the focal point for the local trade in foodstuffs and fuel, all the consumables that supported day to day life in early Kingston.
Today you can enjoy delicous local produce and baked goods throughout the summer at the biweekly Farmer’s Market, and search for treasures from the past at the weekly Antique Market.
