Now & Then Hidden Gem – Kirk’s Cove, Ontario

Now & Then Hidden Gem

A rich history of family vacations is at the forefront of Kirk Kove Cottage’s 80th Anniversary Celebrations this year! With guests who have been coming back summer after summer, it’s likely that some of this year’s guests may remember the innovative ski shows that the resort was famous for in the 50’s in 60’s.

Kirk Kove Cottages is tucked away on Big Gull Lake in Ontario’s Highlands. The lake is part of the Mississippi River System and 18 miles in length east to west. While for generations the lake has been known as a prime location for water-skiing it is also famous for great fishing.

The best thing about an adventure to Kirks Kove? After you’ve enjoyed a wilderness retreat you are an easy distance from history and adventure. Navigate the historic Rideau system, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or check out the Five-Span Stone Bridge in Pakenham.
