Want to make the most of your time in Niagara Falls? Here are a few tips for your next trip.
Be an early bird
If the idea of getting up early on vacation doesn’t sound like your idea of fun think again. A wander by the falls in the early hours of the morning gives you time with this natural wonder all to yourself, and nothing beats the experience of watching the sunrise over the falls.
Many hotels offer specials that feature some of the best of the region. Sheridan on the Falls has a daily Social Hour, where guests can experience Niagara by sampling of regional wine selections and hors d’oeuvres for only $5. The Bar also features signature cocktails such as the “Niagara Martini”.
Eat Local
Get a real taste of the Niagara region at Windows by Jamie Kennedy. This restaurant opened just two years ago and is well-known for championing the rich local bounty of Niagara grown on local farmland, prepared by skilled artisans, or crafted in a renowned vineyards. Make your reservations early to make sure you get a window seat overlooking the falls! Start with one of their signature cocktails many made with local Dillion’s Small Batch Distillery goods, then pair your meal with a glass of Ontario wine.

Catch the Fireworks
Niagara Falls offers free fireworks seasonally in the summer and winter, and is Canada’s longest running fireworks series! The best vantage point is near Queen Victoria Park, where you can admire the show against the back drop of the Niagara skyline and the falls.
