You might notice a curious octagon shaped building when you arrive at the Briars. Take a closer look, because this building is a historic gem. It is Ontario’s only example of an octagonal-shaped peacock house and was actually used to house peacocks in the late 1800s. Want more Briars history? There’s much more to explore inside the house, including historic tours of the resort, sometimes including a peek at the secrets inside the history room. Plus, during the holidays the resort is decked out with stockings and Christmas trees throughout.
