6 Ways to Discover Mattawa Voyageur Country

Come winter, Mattawa is transformed into a winter wonderland and is the perfect place for your next adventure. Here are 6 ways to experience Mattawa Voyageur Country.

1. Rise & Shine

Mornings along the Ottawa River are a little slice of paradise. Get up early to catch the mist rising from the water against a rosy sunrise. Enjoy the peace and quiet of a Mattawa morning, and take some time to reflect on this historic waterway – once an important route for voyageurs, trappers and loggers, and before them First Nations who began inhabiting the region more than 6000 years ago!
