Over the next few weeks we’ll be showing off Ontarians favourite ways to make the most of winter – whether it is bundling up and heading outdoors or cozying up inside. Here’s Instagrammer @sandraivaz ‘s favourite things to do during an Ontario winter.
Art Gallery of Ontario – Toronto
“This was my first time visiting the AGO, and it was pretty cool. If you’ve never been I recommend that you check it out.”
Blue Mountain Resort – The Blue Mountains, Ontario
“Blue Mountain is the place to be in the winter.”
Ward’s Island – Toronto, Ontario
“The view of Toronto from the boat ride to Ward’s Island. Nothing says winter like a frozen Lake Ontario.”
Library of Parliament – Ottawa, Ontario
The Library of Parliament is absolutely stunning. This crop doesn’t do it any justice, but to put it into perspective, it’s a massive circular room filled with more than 17 linear km of material. I think all Canadians should visit parliament at least once in their life.”
Jordan Harbour – Jordan, Ontario
“Ontarians should recognize this landmark. If you’ve ever been to Niagara Falls, you’ve passed by this ship on your way there. Next time pull over and take a look.” Read the story behind the ship here.
