Looking for at-home things to do with your kids during March Break, in April, this year?
From creative arts and crafts to nature appreciation, science-for-fun and celebrating our favourite sports, we’ve rounded up a list of activities from Ontario’s museums, galleries and attractions.
March Break, the much-anticipated, week-long holiday from school for kids and families in Ontario, has been rescheduled to the week of April 12-16. As Ontario transitions to different zones of public health measures, the best way to stay safe and prevent the spread of the virus continues to be staying home and limiting contact with others, as well as frequent hand washing and wearing a mask in public.
Here are some fun experiments, games and challenges you can do at home during April Break 2021.
Do-It-Yourself Science Fun from the Ontario Science Centre
Create a bottle garden, make your own play dough or use science to bake ice cream in your oven.
Games and Apps at the Royal Ontario Museum
Download app-based gallery games and quests from different ages. Available on the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Join Ingenium and Try This Out at Home
Build your own international space station, mini greenhouse and more with these hands-on activities and science experiments.
Engineering Challenges from the CN Tower
Your friends at the CN Tower share their favourite engineering activities from the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers, as well as a CN Tower building challenge, scavenger hunt, colouring sheets, trivia and more.
March (April) Break Camp Kits from Museum of Ontario Archaeology
Designed for kids ages 5 to 10, each kit contains spring-themed science experiments and archaeology crafts and games. Order your kit by April 7 for pick-up or shipping (each kit is $30, shipping $6).
THEMUSEUM Spring Break Virtual Camps
The Virtual Day Camp for ages 5 to 9, and The Underground Studio MakerSpace Virtual Camp for ages 9 to 14 promise a week exploration, creativity and fun.
Happy April Break 2021!
